Yeah, so I recently bought an iTouch. I got the handheld and some decent speakers since my wife and I want to use it a lot for music. Cool thing is that I bought it with dough I made by creating and selling virtual objects in Second Life. If you haven't heard about Second Life, it's an online multiuser 3D universe. You move your avatar around, make it fly, import or build 3D objects...all kinds of stuff. Well over the last year I've made L$132,000. No, that isn't US dollars, it's Linden Dollars. You can exchange Lindens for real US$ at around L$265.oo to US$1.00.
I got US$37.00 for L$100,000.00. I then went out and bought an iTouch, which was kind of satisfying. Anyway, the iTouch interface...wow. Yeah I know, everyone's saying that, but wow...
With it's iPod line of products, Apple has managed to completely change the user experience. And ok, it's a touch screen and not a clunky mouse. No clicking! Of course a touchscreen is gonna be cooler that anything needing a mouse to operate. Still, the way you move around on the iTouch is just...fun! You're sliding things, you're actually jerking the thing to roll dice! This is the level of interface design. Windows users, please click on your "Start" button to turn your computer off.
